16 Best Dropshipping Tips for Beginners|Dropshipping Guide

Dropshipping is a great business model.

It’s low risk, low cost, easy to start up, and is highly automated. But, if you’re brand new to entrepreneurship,
there’s still quite a bit to learn.

Hey what’s up world, its Here Infopreneurr Blog, and today I’m going to give you 16 different tips for when you’re brand new to dropshipping.

If you have any questions or want to share your experiences with dropshipping, drop them in the comments below, and I’ll be sure to get back to you.

Alright, let’s jump right in 16 Dropshipping Tips for Beginners.

1.Focus on Mastering Marketing

With so many aspects of dropshipping being automated, you’ll have more time to focus on marketing.

Sure, tweaking your website, designing logos, and creating graphics is a lot of fun, but, if you’re not actively working to get the right products, in front of the right people, at the right time, all that time spent making the perfect website will go to waste.

A beautiful website with no visitors is like a tree falls in the woods scenario, where if nobody really sees it, does it really
even exist?

Don’t get me wrong, design is important but, if you’re not also focused on getting your beautiful website in front of people, you’re never going to get any sales.

That’s why you also need to invest in driving traffic. That could mean through Paid Ads, SEO, Social Media, video marketing or partnering with influencers.

Honestly, there are a ton of different marketing strategies and tactics you can drive traffic, which is why I always advise new marketers to focus on the small handful of techniques that come the most naturally.

Fortunately for you, we’ve got a ton of resources in the description below to help get you on the right path.

2.Create Compelling Offers

  • You know what I love about online shopping?
  • Sales.
  • You know what I like even better?
  • Bundle deals on complementary products.

Because dropshipping can be highly competitive, really think about how you can make buying from YOU, and building a relationship with YOU even more enticing.

This could mean anything from selectively offering buy one, get one half off deals, to bundling multiple complementary items at
a discounted rate, to offering a significant discount on your visitors first purchase IF they register for an account.

Look at your offer from your visitor’s perspective and ask what’s in it for me?

If the offer isn’t objectively good or amazing, you should rethink it.

By making offers that are difficult to ignore, you stand a much better chance at converting more of the traffic you’re driving.

3.Avoid Underpricing Your Products

Now, I know this may sound counter to my previous tip, but avoid racing to the bottom on price just to remain competitive.

Offering a lower overall cost on bundled products,or through buy one get one half offsales is not the same as selling your entire inventory at just above cost.

This is a massive mistake I see new ecommerce entrepreneurs make all the time, where they’re not making any sales, and suddenly everything in their store is on sale.

Offering everything at rock-bottom prices can have a massive negative impact on a new brand, and can make the brand feel cheap.

If you’re not making sales, don’t jump to assuming it’s your prices that are holding you back.

Instead, reevaluate how you’re driving traffic, and the offers you’re making. It’s better to find new ways to drive traffic
than it is to slash prices, because first it’s hard to raise them again and second you still have to pay the bills.

4.Remove Bad Suppliers Quickly

While most AliExpress suppliers are easy to work with, reliable, and offer good products, sometimes a bad apple or two slip through.

With thousands of AliExpress suppliers, you can easily replace a bad supplier.

Many suppliers sell similar products, allowing you to sometimes even sell the exact same product but from another manufacturer.

If you notice suppliers don’t use the shipping delivery method you’ve chosen or consistently ship faulty products, then you can easily remove their products from your store.

Again, this isn’t very common.Suppliers know that by offering quality service you’ll continue bringing them more sales.

Also, if you want to minimize your chances of partnering with a bad supplier, check out Oberlo Supply, which is a network of pre-screened suppliers we work with that are consistent with their quality, support, and service.

5.Automate as much of your business as possible.

With dropshipping tools like Oberlo, many aspects of your dropshipping business will already be automated, but there is always room to take more off your plate.

Tools like Kit can help you automate tasks like advertising, retargeting, emails and more, while other tools like Buffer can help you schedule your social media postings.

Other tools like Zapier can help you connect your Shopify store to other tools like Quickbooks for Bookkeeping, Google sheets for order backups and Hubspot for customer relationship management.

6.Make Sure your Website is Presentable.

You would be shocked to see how many entrepreneurs launch their dropshipping websites with missing images, placeholder text, and no discernable categorization to their products.

Unfortunately, when you’re sending traffic to a website that can’t be navigated, it reeks of unprofessionalism, and immediately diminishes the trust and credibility of your brand.
Before launching your store, take a look at other websites in your niche.

  • What does their home page look like?
  • What’s the format of the copy on their product page?
  • Do their images include logos on them?
  • What types of pages does their website have?
  • Which features or apps does the store include on their website?

After taking notes about the look and layout of different stores in your niche, browse through the Shopify app store to find apps
that will mimic the most common features you’ve found in your research.

Product reviews, ratings, and email capture are among the most common features of ecommerce stores.

You can also add pages to feature your refund policies, FAQs, shipping information, and more.

7.General Store vs Niche Store

While a lot of advice out there, including our own, will tell you to start with a niche store, the truth is, sometimes you don’t want to sell just one type of thing.

In reality, general stores, while they can be a lot more work, between keeping products organized and categorized, and marketing to different demographics, are great starter stores as they force you to think more broadly.

On the other hand, if you want to put the work into researching and validating a niche, a niche store can allow you to narrow in on finding, and marketing to, the right audience.

The running niche would be an example of a niche within the fitness vertical.

While there’s still a ton of competition for running gear and accessories, it’s not nearly as broad as if you were to sell a wide variety of fitness gear.

This really all boils down to one question, what do you have the tolerance for?

If you can answer that honestly, and are confident you can drive traffic, you’ll be all set.

8.Be prepared to pivot fast

There are all sorts of unexpected challenges and adversity that will come up, because at the end of the day, you’re running a business.

A supplier may stop carrying a product, a new trend may emerge suddenly, your customers may hate a product you’ve added to your
store, or one of your ads may be scaling really well and you’ll need to take a loan to continue supporting the growth.

Pivots aren’t good or bad, really, but they do require you to be flexible and decisive when the moment is necessary

9.Offer exceptional customer service

There are ways to stand out when you’re selling similar products to other companies.

While you may think that offering refunds and responding to inquiries is the role of customer service, that’s just where the
job starts.

Tell jokes, write thank you cards, send surprises, and go out of your way to make them feel special.

Like the poet Maya Angelou said, People will forget what you said.People will forget what you did.

But people will never forget how you made them feel.

10.Use Data to Inform Your Inventory

Be picky about the products you add to your store.Don’t just add products because they look nice and you’d like it for yourself.

Look at the data are these products getting sales and positive feedback?

When evaluating products from your supplier, check to see the order volume, reviews, and customer photos, and seller ratings to ensure you’re partnering with a trustworthy supplier.

11.Always choose ePacket

As a dropshipper, you’re free to sort products based on ePacket shipping.Since ePacket shipping is the fastest affordable
shipping method, you’ll be able to ensure quick delivery to customers without breaking the bank.

On average, ePacket shipping costs under $5 for most products, and will make sure your customers will get your products between 7 and 20 business days, and often much faster.

12.Be Active Daily

Dropshipping isn’t an automated business, and there is no overnight success.

While you likely won’t need to put in 8 hours a day, you do need to spend at least an hour every day to grow your store.

Each day you’ll need to process orders, respond to customer inquiries promptly, drive traffic, and generally just make sure everything’s running smoothly.

This is not a build it and they will comescenario, and it requires work every single day to make sure the business is running well.

13.Import 10-25 items to start

Here’s a problem for you – In your excitement to start your dropshipping business, you’ve just imported 600 items to your store.

What a great selection you have now, right?

But then, once you look at your store, you realize, that’s 600 product descriptions you need to edit, 600 titles you need to rewrite, a billion tags you need to come up with, and 3,000 photos you need to comb to to see which ones you’ll have to crop
supplier logos out of.

What do you do?

Most people, myself included, just give up.
Nevermind, this wasn’t for me, this is too much work, I quit!

It’s much easier to start with a small collection of 10-25 products, that way you can more easily manage the workload, especially if you’re doing this on your own, and after day at your 9-5.

14.Monitor your competition

Here’s a suggestion for you, start a spreadsheet, and include links to all of your primary competitors websites, social media accounts, and wherever else they’re selling online.

Sign up to their email lists, and heck, maybe even buy some of their products.

Once a week, check in on how they’re positioning their products, what they’re saying in their emails, what kinds of sales they’re running, and how they’re retargeting their ads.

This kind of low-level competition monitoring will provide you some insight with how they’re running their business, and can help expose holes in their strategies and may also teach you some very valuable lessons along the way.

15.Change the Oberlo Custom Note

As a dropshipper, you should change your custom note to your supplier.

Under Settings, click Suppliers, you’ll find Custom Note on the bottom of the page.

Here you can leave a message for all your suppliers. You’ll want something that’s relevant to all your suppliers.

Something along the lines of, Ship with EPACKET only! We’re dropshipping.

Please no invoices or promotions!

Since you’re only importing ePacket products, it’s good to remind suppliers to use ePacket shipping to ensure customers receive their goods quickly.

It’s also important to tell them that we’re dropshipping so that they don’t add their invoices or marketing materials in packages.

If you do this, you shouldn’t have an issue with suppliers adding their own invoices or promotions in your packages.

16.Use Oberlo Supply

If you’re launching your first dropshipping store, consider using Oberlo Supply.

Oberlo Supply helps you dropship quality products from trusted suppliers with a wide variety of products from popular and hidden niches.

The best part about Oberlo Supply is that incoming orders are immediately sent to suppliers making it great if you’re working around a busy schedule.

You’ll have more time to focus on marketing so you can make more money.

Alright, that’s all we’ve got this week.

If you have any questions, be sure to leave them in the comments.

What is Dropshipping ? | Best Idea to Earn Money Online

Hey guys Infopreneurr Blog here and today we’re going to be talking about Dropshipping.

So what is dropshipping ?

You probably hear Dropshipping all the time about this brand new method of making money online with Dropshipping without really putting any money up or without holding any inventory well this is what that is dropshipping.

It seems like an elaborate system but it’s really not and it’s quite simple. So if you allow me to explain here as you can see over here,

We have here supplier so that’s you’re going to be purchasing a wholesale from and keep in mind there are two different prices inside there’s wholesale and there’s retail.
Wholesale is what you the seller is buying for and retail is what you’re selling for so your customer over here buys retail price and you buy wholesale price.

So here’s how the system works first you purchase or you find the product from a supplier so you go on Aliexpress or ebay or even any American drop shipping companies and so you just find the product, so you find your product and you list it on your webstore and keep in mind you’re buying this product for wholesale say two dollars a piece and you’re selling it to your customer for retail say twelve dollars a piece.

Okay the next step is your customer buys the product from you so your customer goes to your store and he or she buys the twelve dollar priced item, okay next step is you take that order and you send it to the supplier, so once the supplier has your order, what they do then is they directly ship to your customer.

What this means is throughout this whole process of Dropshipping you’re not touching a single piece of inventory all you are doing is hosting Dropshipping service and driving the traffic to it, you’re driving the customer to your Dropshipping store and then you’re sending the order from your store to the supplier and they take care of the rest it’s very simple very easy to do.

I actually want to show you a example right now so we go over here we can see websites.

So Dropshipping sites like this is kind of just a bunch of different niches that they found on Shopify and they’re probably using Facebook Ads or different advertising source to drive traffic. But the problem is it all there’s no niche to it.

You know Dropshipping Store is not like moms love this or boho gypsy knuckle rings you know they have knuckle rings, they have necklaces, they have Luke Bryan like those don’t go together but what I’m trying to show you is that the pieces they have here for 12.95(Dollar).

What they do is they go here and they go to Aliexpress or they can buy the same exact rings for 2.85(Dollar). So what am I trying to show you here…I’m trying to show you here that Aliexpress is a supplier.
Dropshipping store is this store right here, with trendy things and they’re selling you for $12, so like I said before with the two prices you have your supplier Aliexpress selling it for 2.85 that’s a wholesale price and you have this store.

We’re buying it for 2.85 but selling it for 12.95 which is their retail price so what happens is when I buy this all they have to do is come here press buy now and fill out shipping information, address, their credit card my and they ship it to me directly.

Aliexpress being the wholesale supplier the store I just showed you where the Dropshipping stores where you sell for retail and whenever the customer buys from retail you just send it to your wholesale supplier now send the product directly to your customer and that’s pretty much rundown and dropshipping.

Right see you guys later Infopreneurr Blogg.

Top 5 Online Business Ideas in 2020|Best Selected Online Business

Hey everyone and welcome to Infopreneurr Blog today we’re gonna learn about the Top Five Online Business Ideas of 2020. Now let’s begin…

  1. Search Engine Optimization(SEO) – (Online Business)

Every business wants one thing to get attention, you need to attract customers to outdo the competition and to let the world know what you have to offer and these days there’s one foolproof technique to get the attention you’re looking for and that’s Search Engine Optimization.

Many companies around the world rely on search engines to generate business on their own. Google sees around 63 thousand searches every single second that’s over 5.6 billion searches each and every day, no matter what field or industry you’re in that’s a lot of people a lot of potential customers so you need to make sure your company shows up as often as possible.

But most don’t realize how you actually climb ranks on any search engines it’s just not about popularity you could find your website on page ten even if you have plenty of customers the real secret is Search Engine Optimization or SEO.

The goal of SEO is to create online content that’s searchable the actual definition of what searchable means would take a bit too long to explain so, I’ll just say this SEO checks the right boxes and presses the right buttons to get you as close to the top as possible because that’s what it’s all about.

Right, about 40% of people click on the first link they find on Google and another huge percentage never leaves the first page in other words if your website stands at the top you’ll get more attention, and attention means potential business.

So, how can you turn SEO into an online business more and more online companies are sprouting up every single day and all of those companies need someone or some way to get attention but very few of them know how to navigate the complicated world of search engines.
So why not fill that void set aside a few hours a week to learn SEO there are plenty of classes, videos, and blogs that can teach you everything you need to know it might sound difficult right now but if you put in the time upfront you’ll profit immensely down the road because SEO experts are constantly in demand every business needs online attention so every business is going to need someone like you.

  1. Personal Consultation – (Online Business)

Every day millions of people scroll the internet looking for someone to help them, someone to manage their business or to give them health and fitness advice. Personal Consultation is in any category an incredibly lucrative place to start your business.
So whether you’re coaching giving, advice or leading an online course consultation makes for a very natural and profitable business because you’re using the knowledge that you already have.

9 times out of 10 you’re taking something you already know and just applying it to someone else’s life because that’s the part that people really need help. They know the facts they’ve memorized the tips and tricks but they don’t know how to put those theories into practice so that’s where you come in now of course it can be a little challenging to get your consultation business off the ground.

No one’s going to pay you unless they feel like you can actually help them but how do you prove how much you’re worth the key is this value, first execution later in other words you want to create as much intention and value as you can in the beginning, you’ve got to show them that you have something to offer without actually solving the problem for them because if you can prove your worth people will pay you to finish the job.

Now of course that’s not the only way to get people interested in the consultation business, testimonials are key you need proof that you’ve actually helped people in the past. So when you’re first starting out don’t worry about trying to rake in a big check just try to help someone analyze their problem and use your expertise to get them on the right track.

If you do a good job those people may leave you a great testimonial which gives your business the reputation you need to succeed.

  1. Affiliate Marketing (Online Business)

You can find this kind of Online business anywhere online but very few people understand what affiliate marketing actually means to put it simply. Affiliate Marketing is when a content creator promotes a product or service which ultimately brings in new customers and it stirs up a new business.

So naturally the content creator gets a piece of the pie every time someone buys one of those products, thanks to the creators marketing of course they get a small Commission it may only get a small percentage but let’s say they bring in thousands of new customers hey those commissions may add up pretty quick and you may find yourself making hundreds if not thousands of dollars overnight which means you’re earning a stable income without lifting a finger.

And now that you get the gist let’s dive a little deeper affiliate marketing breaks down into three pieces first you have the merchant, the merchant is any person or business who has something to sell their goals are pretty simple popularity name recognition and customers the next piece of the puzzle is the affiliates that are probably going to be you.

Affiliates are typically online promoters some are just a single person others are an entire company it really doesn’t matter as long as the affiliate generates a lot of traffic because traffic means attention and attention means business.

Now here’s the beauty of being an Affiliate Marketer you aren’t limited to a single merchant you could advertise one product one week then another the next and you’ll earn commissions for both because online content continues to circulate long after its original publication so if you’re smart about it you could find yourself making all kinds of money in no time and last but not least we have the consumer the third piece of the puzzle which is the most important part of the process because your Commission’s don’t exist if no one buys that product.

That’s why presentation is such an important thing to consider how are you presenting your product why would people take the time to click on your link or to pay money for something you recommend, so what should you take away from all this if you want to get into affiliate marketing you need to remember two things, firstly attention is a resource just like money if you’re a popular content creator you have it so put it to good use and secondly audience should be your biggest concern.

Take the time to think about the people you’re appealing to and the way you’re marketing a product because your presentation can make or break your business if you can do that affiliate marketing may be your path to online success in 2020.

  1. The Membership Model (Online Business)

If you’re looking for a stable monthly income, Membership Programs are the way to go whether you’re teaching consulting or selling merchandise memberships are great ways to establish a consistent community for your service or product.

The idea is pretty simple let’s say you’re offering fitness consultant when a customer visits your site they get a small taste of what you have to offer they read a couple of posts view some testimonials and watch some short videos because you need to prove to potential customers that your content is worth the money.

If you did your job that customer is going to want more they’ll run out of free stuff to look at so they’ll pay the small fee to get a look behind the curtain and after paying that fee they get access to all kinds of exclusive services like personalized routines, exclusive merchandise and the opportunity to talk and interact with you directly.

And that exclusivity keeps them coming back for more but what if you’re not offering a service how can you apply a membership program to a new line of products well many companies use a system called box subscriptions.

In a box subscription companies send monthly collections of small product samples, those samples not only encourage people to continue receiving boxes they also generate business for the individual products, customers get a chance to try them out.

So they’re more likely to order them again in both examples the Membership Model is serving an important purpose it’s creating a community it encourages people to invest in you your product and
your company’s personality they won’t mind paying the monthly membership because they’ve learned to trust you as a provider and that makes them feel like they’re getting their.

  1. Informational Content (Online Business)

Do you want to turn your hobbies into a career ?
If the answer is Yes an online business may be your best bet start by asking yourself one simple question what am I good at it could be anything a sport, a craft, or maybe you just know a lot about a specific subject.

No matter what you’re passionate about there will always be people who share your interests so use that to your advantage create a YouTube channel or advertise yourself on social media. If entertainment isn’t your thing you could also produce instructional videos weigh in on controversial topics or write a weekly blog.

But here’s the best part these are all things you can do in your spare time and every one of them could help you build a fan base to gain popularity or educate a worldwide audience so don’t wait turn your interests into a lucrative business and make 2020 the year you find online success.
